#ReliefPH: How Kagayanons can Help Typhoon #YolandaPH Victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office X is in need of volunteers to do re-packing of relief goods to be sent to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City.
The Field Office, which is based in Cagayan de Oro, has been identified by the agency, as one of the satellite offices to ship relief goods to the affected city in Region 8. The Field Office is expected to send out 50,000 to 100,000 family food packs daily to Tacloban City for the families affected.
Re-packing of the goods will start tomorrow, November 12, 2013.
Interested individuals and groups may register at DSWD Field Office X, Masterson Ave., Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

If you want to offer your place of business as donation dropoff center, if you want to donate, if you want to organize your own drive etc - please feel free to let me know. Let's consolidate all efforts. I am also fixing arrangements for travels to Cebu, Leyte, Samar and Bohol. If you want to help out and travel with me and other volunteers, let me know also.
I am supporting the 1+2+3+1 formula for #YolandaPH donations: 1 kilo of rice, 2 pieces canned goods, 3 packs of noodles and 1 liter of water. All these for a total of roughly Php 100 (US $2.50). That may even be lesser than the price of your coffee. Please, if you want to help, feel free to contact me. I will personally go to the affected areas (my own expense...EDIT: an angel has offered to shoulder fares for me and a companion) and make sure that your donations are received properly. Please feel free to contact me also if you want to co-organize fundraising events and other donation drives. Thank you for your generosity!"

With that, we would like to revive this project and create Care Packs for little kids 3 years old and younger. Each pack will include 1 feeding bottle (sterilized and washed), 1 500 ml water, 1 sachet of milk (good for two feedings), 1 small blanket and a pack of crackers. This will only cost P120 each or a little around $3.
