Gumbo: A Taste of New Orleans

First night of my Manila escape with my cousin. We stroll around Mall Of Asia and then hunt for a restaurant to eat. Since they let me decide wear to dine I opted for a Korean cuisine. While on the hunt we passed by at this fine dining restaurant called Gumbo who's waiters waiting outside and invites every passers to dine at the restaurant. My cousin already not feeling well and initiated to dine at Gumbo, so I just opted in with doubts coz I actually dont have any ideas what cuisines they serve. When I travel to another place I actually go for food I already know the taste because i want to avoid stomach pains and other discomfort. So with my finger cross I look at the menu to order for myself.
Things I notice first... Food are expensive, well its expected since they are a fine dining restaurant. Next, cuisines are mostly seafoods but they do have American steaks... Lastly, I dont know any of it, I can only identify the food from the pictures and by reading at the description on whats in it. Kevin had to order first for us because it took me and my cousin a while decide which to order. So here's what Kevin ordered...
Baked Artichoke Formaggio (Php 295.00) - Freshly baked garlic bread chips. Served with their homemade artichoke dip.

Oyster Rockefeller on the Half Shell (Php 425.00) - Fresh oyster topped with fresh spinach and parmesan cheese mix and oven baked.
Kevin explaining to us what's inside of oyster, how the pearl is taken in the shell and how the oyster is cook.
Seafood Gumbo (Php 325.00) - New Orleans favorite dish with fresh calamari, Pacific clams, crawfish, shrimps, andouille sausage and mussels. Cooked with Cajun vegetables and seasoning.
Then I finally decided and ordered for  Seafood Aglio Olio
Then my cousin ordered for Angus Rib-Eye Steak with Cajun Rice

Overall verdict. Hmmm New Orleans is not a place for me. I bet if I travel there I need to pack-up comfort foods in my bag. Lol
